Like everyone around our world, the Adara Family have been filled with grief, trauma, and fear as we have watched COVID-19 explode into reality. This unprecedented global crisis has already disrupted and set back Adara’s current strategy and goals. As such, we have had to readjust our plans to make sure we can continue to deliver the most essential services, and to put our attention to mitigating as much as possible the impacts of COVID-19 on the communities we support. This reframing of our work is challenging, and yet we are determined to do our best work in the months ahead. You can read our 2020 COVID-19 Response Plan here and our 2018-2020 strategy here.
Our vision is that each and every person has access to quality health, education and other essential services, no matter where they live.
We support the communities we partner with by implementing high quality and holistic projects that are based on research, and improve health and education outcomes.
We are taking our very best ideas and our biggest mistakes, distilled from two decades of working in the field, and sharing them locally, nationally and globally to reach as many people as possible.
Our mission is to bridge the worlds of business and the world of people in extreme poverty, and to support vulnerable communities with health, education and other essential services.
Our Guiding Principles
The core philosophy underpinning Adara's work is that we always, always do everything with humility. Our work is guided by a detailed development philosophy and a culture and values statement that is embedded in all we do.
Adara Development has two pillars which are fundamental to our strategy and achieving our goals.
