Dr Mohan Paudel

Mohan is Adara’s Monitoring and Evaluation Manager.

With over ten years of experience in public health and community development, Mohan brings expertise in planning, monitoring, research and evaluation of public health/community development programmes. As a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (M&E) at Adara, he is responsible for providing technical inputs and managing M&E activities of Adara’s projects in Nepal and Uganda.

Formerly a programme consultant in UNICEF, Mohan was responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring maternal and child health, HIV/AIDs/PMTCT programmes, and capacity building of district health systems and local NGOs. With HealthRight International, Mohan led M&E activities of the partnership for maternal and newborn health and integrated family planning projects. He also coordinated implementation research activities in Nepal. With local Nepali NGOs and Nepal’s Department of Health Services, Mohan has worked in Karnali and far-western regions, providing training to health workers, community leaders and health volunteers, and managing surveys.

With his PhD in public health, Mohan adds expertise in mixed-methods research, including qualitative analysis. Mohan has published papers on perinatal survival and social determinants, postnatal service utilization, newborn care, infectious disease, and non-communicable disease risk factors and pregnancy, and is a reviewer to several peer-reviewed international journals.
