The Adara Group is seeking an Accountant with at least three years of accounting experience.
ABOUT THE role
- Full time, permanent position
- Reporting to the Financial Controller
- Hands-on-role in a small finance team
- Supporting a global non-profit and leading ‘business for purpose’
the impact you will create
The finance team plays an integral role in achieving the Adara Group’s mission and vision. You will support Adara’s work by:
- Updating accounting records, including processing donations and ensuring cash balances are up to date.
- Preparing month-end journal entries and general ledger accounts reconciliation.
- Preparing internal and external reports, including monthly financial results for the Adara entities, annual budgets and statutory returns.
- Liaising with external stakeholders
- Working collaboratively with the Adara finance team and maintaining communication with other departments.
About you
To excel in this position, you will need:
- At least three years of relevant accounting experience, including exposure to accounts receivable and general accounting
- Relevant finance or accounting degree
- Experience using mid-size ERP software, preferably Microsoft Business Central
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to own tasks and see them through to completion
- To be a team player and good collaborator
- An interest in international development
Other amazing skills that would be helpful for you:
- To have Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- To have non-profit experience
- Experience using mid-size ERP software, preferably Microsoft Business Central
- To be working towards a CA/CPA qualification
