The Adara Group is seeking a Head of People and Culture to lead best practice people and culture initiatives across all Adara entities globally, and to provide advice and support on people and culture issues to the Global Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for realising Adara’s vision through building a robust P&C ecosystem which facilitates achievement of Adara’s Strategic Plan.

ABOUT THE role
  • In this full-time, permanent role, you will provide support to both Adara Development and the Adara Businesses (Adara Partners and Adara Advisors). Reporting to the Chief Executive Officers of Adara Development and Adara Partners, you will be responsible for the supervision and development of the People and Culture Coordinator.

As the Head of People and Culture, you will:

  • Oversee all People and Culture initiatives, incorporating the objectives from our annual and three-year strategic plan
  • Work closely with the legal team to review policies, procedures, and staff manuals
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes globally
  • Oversee our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Wellbeing, and Learning and Development programs
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure all employees globally are remunerated appropriately
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on global People and Culture outcomes to the Global Leadership Team and global boards
  • Oversee all elements of the employee life cycle, including probation, performance reviews, and conflict resolution
  • Develop a comprehensive workforce planning strategy for the organization, including succession planning for key positions

about you

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources
  • 7+ years’ experience in Human Resources, including in senior HR roles – it will be an advantage to have worked for a global organisation
  • A thorough knowledge of the Australia employment landscape and HR best practice
  • Demonstrated HRIS Experience, with strong functional knowledge in system usage and reporting functions
  • Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives.
  • Experience managing and developing a team
  • A confident, flexible and proactive approach
  • Ability to work and communicate with staff at all levels, including cross culturally
  • A passion for social justice
  • Experience in the international development sector, although not required, would be well regarded
  • Legal qualifications or experience, although not required, would be well regarded

Their sole objective is to fund Adara Development’s administration and emergency project costs. This allows 100% of donations received by Adara Development to go directly to project-related costs.
