About the Role
The Quality Improvement (QI) Officer will provide hands-on support in the design, implementation and monitoring of continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) interventions across Adara-supported health facilities and district structures. This includes applying 5S–QI–CQI–TQM methodologies, strengthening capacity building, enhancing monitoring and evaluation systems, promoting data-driven decision-making, and contributing to operational research, with the ultimate aim of improving service delivery, health outcomes, and sustainability of quality care at district and facility levels.
About you
- A bachelor’s degree in a medical or health‑related field, such as Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, Health Management, or a related discipline.
- A postgraduate qualification in Public Health, Monitoring & Evaluation, Health Systems Management, Epidemiology, Quality Improvement, Biostatistics, or another relevant field is a strong added advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience in health systems strengthening, quality improvement, clinical mentorship or implementation of MNCH programs.
- Experience working with district health teams, facility QI teams, and frontline health workers, with strong skills in coaching, mentorship, and capacity strengthening.
- Experience preparing technical documents, including abstracts, case studies, learning briefs, reports or conference presentations, preferably within MNCH or QI.
- Familiarity with Uganda’s health sector policies, standards, and guidelines.
