Daniel is Adara’s Director of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health. He leads Adara’s Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) stream of work to significantly improve MNCH outcomes in Uganda and globally.
Daniel began volunteering with Adara in 2008 before coming on board as a staff member in 2014.
Daniel holds a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Guidance and Counselling (Social Work). Prior to joining Adara, Daniel worked as the Laboratory Manager for Kiwoko Hospital from 2007 to 2014.
Daniel grew up in the Luwero area. During the civil war, Daniel spent three years hiding in the bush with his parents, brothers and sisters to escape persecution. This experience served as the motivation for his dedication to helping people in need.
