Binod Budha

Binod is Adara’s Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer in Nepal working to strengthens evidence-based decision-making across Adara’s Remote Community Development programmes.

Binod Budha is a Public Health Officer with a professional experience across provincial and local level of Nepal’s government health system, especially within the Karnali Province. He holds a bachelor’s degree in public health (BPH) from Pokhara University with distinction-level performance. He has hands on experience in health programme coordination, training management, data management, field monitoring, site supervision, reporting, emergency response and evidence-based public health planning.

During his tenure in provincial (HRDC, Surkhet) and local level health office (Office of Adanchuli Rural Municipality, Humla) in Karnali Province, he has strengthen his technical expertise in DHIS-2, SPSS, QGIS, TIMS, PHA, GTS, ASRH, CNSI, CB-IMNCI, PMTCT, Safe Motherhood, HIV/AIDs, mhGAP 2B and research proposal development that were conducted across the national, provincial and local level health offices of Nepal government. He is also a GTS certified Trainer under the National Health Training Center (NHTC).

Prior to this, Binod was deployed as a Rapid Response Team member of “Team Chaurjhahari” in Rukum west under the direction of Health Service Directorate, Surkhet, Karnali Province during the Jajarkot-Rukum earthquake for the post-disaster public health surveillance, reporting, rapid health assessment, emergency support and psychosocial management within the community.

Binod is committed to improve service delivery quality through data-driven decision making and continuous quality improvement process by strengthening local health systems to improve health outcomes in rural and underserved communities.
