Jo is Adara’s Director of Impact, leading the organisations approach to programme quality, driving evidence informed programming, and fostering a culture of learning, accountability and excellence across our work and beyond.
Jo brings more than 20 years’ experience in international development, working across a range of sectors and countries, and holds a Bachelor of Psychology and a Masters of International and Community Development. Prior to joining Adara, she held senior leadership roles at The Fred Hollows Foundation, where she led organisational standards and practice for programme design and quality, and supported multi-country teams to embed evidence-informed practice and adaptive learning.
Jo is committed to locally led decision making and passionate about strengthening learning loops – ensuring organisations learn from both successes and failures – and expanding impact through knowledge sharing. Her leadership style is empathetic and inclusive, and she is energised by creating the conditions for people to do their best work, to co-create and to deliver meaningful impact.
