Pragya Lamsal

Pragya is Adara Development’s Remote Community Development Knowledge Sharing Manager

Pragya has more than ten years of experience in non-profits, and the media sector covering disability, menstrual hygiene, women, children and other rights issues. She holds a graduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.

Pragya also teaches Media and Gender at Shepherd College, Purbanchal University. She also served as a Steering Committee Member of the World Youth Movement for Democracy, a network of youth-led civil society organizations across the world supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).

Pragya is also a writer and blogger. Her stories and views have been featured in The Guardian, BBC, The Independent, The Kathmandu Post, Al Jazeera, NPR, OpenDemocracy among others. Pragya has expertise in participatory action research particularly focusing on the issues of children with and without disabilities.

Pragya loves spending time with her daughter during free time.
