Samuel Semakula

Samuel is Adara’s Early Intervention Manager, overseeing the Baby Ubuntu programme.

Sam is passionate about promoting the rights of vulnerable communities. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Ethics and Human Rights from Makerere University, he is highly experienced in the identification of disabilities and providing psycho-social support and therapy.

In previous roles, Sam has implemented educational programmes that are designed to be inclusive for children with disabilities and has trained other facilitators in the importance of providing these programmes in the community. He has also worked on a number of research studies with academic institutions, helping to investigate topics such as early childhood education and the rights of people with disabilities.

In his role with Adara, Sam works to improve the early identification and intervention of children with disabilities and supports these children and their families to thrive.
