Winnie is Adara’s Newborn Health Technical Officer in Uganda.
Winnie has extensive experience in Neonatal care, having previously worked in NICU at Kiwoko Hospital and Mulago Specialised Women and Neonatal Hospital.
Having worked in high volume and specialised settings, Winnie has gained strong skills in management of sick and premature newborns, infection prevention and control, newborn resuscitation and supporting health teams to provide quality care for mothers and babies. Her focus is on improving neonatal outcomes through clinical support, training, mentorship and implementation of evidence based newborn care practices within health facilities.
Winnie is passionate about strengthening newborn services, building the capacity of health workers, and ensuring that every newborn receives the best start of life. She is committed to improving the quality of newborn care and survival
