Adara Partners acts as a trusted advisor to boards, senior management and significant shareholders of leading Australian corporate and institutional investors, providing independent advice on M&A, capital management and raising, and complex commercial problem solving.

Adara Partners crosses competitive boundaries, bringing together a Panel of 18 of the most senior members of the Australian financial and legal services industry.  Panel Members jointly lead mandates in pairs supported by highly experienced corporate advisory professionals.   Adara Partners’ profits are donated to our international development arm, Adara Development (www.adaragroup.org), supporting its critical work with communities living in poverty in some of the world’s remotest places.

About the Role

The Corporate Advisory Director leads the corporate advisory team and is responsible for maintaining and growing the business of Adara Partners, including first-class execution of all client mandates at the direction of Adara Panel Members and the CEO, managing the corporate advisory team, and business development.

Key responsibilities

Client Mandates (Execution Leadership):  Project managing all aspects involved in Adara Partner’s advisory mandates. Adara Partners provides wise counsel, independent financial and strategic advice, and complex commercial problem-solving services to public and private companies and high net worth families.

Panel Support:  Providing all necessary support to the Panel Members in their roles leading advisory mandates on Adara Partner’s behalf, including validating and reviewing financial models and critically analysing financial and market data, developing reports and other work product at the direction of Panel Members, and ensuring execution of client mandates to the highest levels of excellence.

Corporate Advisory Team Leadership:  Managing and developing the Adara corporate advisory team.

Origination and Relationship Development:  Working with the CEO, identifying business development opportunities, building client relationships and promoting awareness of Adara Partners.

High-Integrity Advice and Governance:  Ensure Adara maintains the highest standards of confidentiality, conflicts management, and the top-tier advice and support to Panel Members and clients.

About you

To excel in this position, you will:

  • Have a passion for helping others and for social justice.
  • Be a leading top tier finance professional with at least 10 years’ experience in Australian investment banking, transactions advisory, and/or M&A advisory, preferably with experience in more than one industry sector – experience across multiple transaction types will be an advantage (e.g. corporate strategy, ECM, DCM, capital management, M&A, restructuring, public and private transactions).
  • Have a degree or advanced degree in business/finance.
  • Be commercially, operationally and analytically astute.
  • Have demonstrated experience leading advisory teams to a high level.
  • Relish an entrepreneurial environment and the chance to be a key leader in a business for purpose.
  • Demonstrate experience managing day to day aspects of top tier client relationships.
  • Have high levels of integrity, must maintain complete confidentiality with respect to all engagements and have values aligned with those of the Adara Group.
Technology

The corporate advisory team is equipped with market-data access platforms including Bloomberg, FactSet, MergerMarket, and Refinitiv to support high-quality analysis and execution.
