Knowledge Sharing Manager

About the Role

The Knowledge Sharing Manager leads Adara’s Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) knowledge sharing function, ensuring evidence, learning and innovation from our programmes are translated into practical insights that strengthen systems, improve programme quality, and influence policy and practice beyond Adara.

This role drives a strategic, impact-focused approach to knowledge sharing, working closely with clinical, programme, RMEL and communications teams to embed learning into organisational processes and external engagement.

You will lead the development of high-quality knowledge products and learning resources, support effective dissemination to diverse audiences, and strengthen partnerships that advance sector learning and collaboration. The role also plays a key part in positioning Adara as a trusted contributor to maternal and newborn health knowledge and quality improvement in Uganda and globally.

About you

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in public/global health, health communications, knowledge management, international development or a related field (clinical background advantageous).
  • At least 5 years’ experience in knowledge sharing, programme learning, RMEL, health communications, quality improvement or similar fields.
  • Proven experience developing high-quality knowledge products and translating technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in international development and/or the health sector, preferably in low-resource settings.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting learning, evidence use, dissemination and external engagement, including with government, academic or development partners.
  • Experience contributing to research dissemination, publications or conferences, and familiarity with digital knowledge platforms or learning tools is desirable.

  • Comfortable working across multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams, with a proactive learning mindset.
  • Alignment with Adara’s values and commitment to equity, locally led approaches and improving outcomes for women, newborns and children.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant digital tools, and willingness to meet safeguarding requirements.
