Location: Kiwoko Hospital, Nakaseke District, Uganda (with travel to Adara’s project sites and hospitals across Uganda)
Employment status: An ongoing contract (full time)
Reports to: Senior RMEL Manager (technical) and Director of MNCH (administrative)
About the Role
The RMEL Manager will lead the implementation of Adara’s research, monitoring, evaluation and learning strategy in Uganda. This role is responsible for managing the in-country RMEL team, overseeing data collection and analysis, ensuring high-quality reporting, and supporting continuous learning and improvement across Adara’s MNCH programmes. The RMEL Manager will also represent Adara in donor and partner meetings and contribute to global knowledge sharing and academic publishing.
About you
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Health, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Science, Research or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Public Health, Research, Evaluation, MNCH, or International Development
- Demonstrated experience in managing RMEL activities, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and presenting
- Strong project management and team leadership skills
- Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Proficiency in research and data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, REDCap, NVivo, PowerBI, Stata, R)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English and local Ugandan languages
- Respectful, accountable, and a team player
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in field locations
- Passion for maternal, newborn and child health and community development
