Associate Director, Corporate Advisory

Adara Partners is seeking a full-time Associate Director to work as a key member of our high performing corporate advisory team advising the boards and senior management of ASX 100 and large private companies on mergers and acquisitions, equity capital management, and complex commercial problems.

To be considered for this position, professionals require 5+ years of experience within a bulge bracket investment bank, independent corporate advisory firm or large consulting firm; and a strong desire to promote social justice and international development.

The role of Associate Director requires working closely with our Panel Members (some of the most experienced leaders in the industry) – it is imperative for the candidate to be adept at working with senior stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with Panel Members, the candidate will be responsible for leading all analytic work required to successfully execute advisory mandates.
  • Project managing day-to-day tasks on transactions across a broad scope of sectors.
  • Reviewing and co-ordinating the preparation of internal and external reports, presentations, financial models, transaction terms and agreements, and other materials.
  • Supporting deal origination, pitch preparation and relationship management for top-tier advisory opportunities.
  • Monitoring relevant transactions, capital market trends, company results, industry, regulatory and other economic developments.
COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of strong deal execution experience within Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, and/or M&A.
  • A degree in commerce, finance, or a relevant discipline and completed (or completing) a post graduate qualification (CFA or master’s preferred).
  • Experienced in building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders (internally and externally).
  • Outstanding financial analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of finance, valuation, accounting, capital structures, corporate governance, and transaction documentation.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and client management skills.
  • A healthy sense of urgency for working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated high levels of integrity, an ability to maintain complete confidentiality with respect to all engagements and values aligned with those of Adara.
  • Alignment with Adara’s mission to bridge the world of business and the world of people in extreme poverty, and to support vulnerable communities with health, education and other essential services.

LOCATION

Our offices are located in The Rocks, Sydney.
