David is Chancellor of the University of New South Wales and President of the Art Gallery of NSW Trust. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of Barrenjoey Capital Partners, Chairman of Sydney Airport, Chairman of Levande Living, and Chairman of the UNSW Foundation. He is a Board Director of the Lowy Institute for International Policy, a Non-Executive Director of the Australian Philanthropic Services, a Non-Executive Member of LeapFrog Investment’s Global Leadership Council, and a Patron of Australian Indigenous Education Foundation and of Raise Foundation.
David was previously Chairman of the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, and Chair of the Review to Achieve Educational Excellence in Australian Schools for the Commonwealth Government of Australia.
David was also a Member of the Australian Takeovers Panel, the ASIC External Advisory Panel and a Director of Singapore Airlines, the Westfield Group and Singapore Telecommunications. Additionally, David was Chairman of Coca-Cola Amatil, the Australian Securities Exchange, the Sydney Theatre Company, the Guardians of the Future Fund, the Australia Council for the Arts, the Board of Trustees of Sydney Grammar School, and Investec Bank (Australia).
